Papineau gets its own warp
Montreal's newest district is one command away, with streets, a square and a shop to show for a week's work.
Montreal's Papineau district now has a public warp. Type /t warp Montreal papineau into chat and you are there — no directions and no walk from spawn.
The warp went up on 31 July, at the end of the week that turned Papineau from a name into a place. Twelve chunks were claimed into Papineau county, Papineau Avenue and Apheal Street were laid out, and a shop opened at the warp point itself. Papineau Square followed in the days after.
The district ran hot through the July mayoral race — one chant in the election channel was simply PAPINEAU 4EVER — and the building committee spent the back half of the month making sure the new streets did not clash with what was already standing next door.
