And we’ve already encountered a stupid disaster.
After restarting my laptop this morning, I suddenly lost access to two Figma design pages I’ve been working on for months: Ice Age Game and Little Hero. Instant panic.
After retracing everything, I realized what likely happened. I’d unknowingly been working on these personal projects under an old workplace Figma account. The desktop app had kept me logged in even after I lost access to that work email months ago. Restarting the laptop broke the illusion.
Which sucked. A lot.
These weren’t throwaway files. They were real, meaningful work—ideas I’ve been building toward something bigger. Losing access felt like watching the floor drop out for a moment.
But I didn’t spiral.
I wrote a clear, detailed support ticket to Figma. I laid out the timeline, explained why I’m confident the files are personal, and asked for help transferring them to my personal account. Support case created. Case number in hand.
Right now, this is uncomfortable uncertainty—not a loss.
If anything, today was a reminder that I’m building things that matter enough to protect, recover, and fight for. Even on a messy day, I showed up.
That counts.
