Faces

The face system is finally where I wanted it. Five phenotypes, sixteen MBTI-flavored personality types per phenotype, five life stages each. Hundreds of portraits, all hand-crafted to feel like they belong to the same world.

I spent more time on this than is probably defensible. But I kept coming back to the same instinct: if you're going to spend hours with these people — naming them, watching them die, mourning the ones you couldn't save — they need to look like people. Not like sliders.

A clan now looks like a clan. Old faces, young faces, kin and stranger. The world feels more populated, even when nothing is happening.
