Everywhen — Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
Everywhen (“the app”) is made by Sunlit Game Studio LLC (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what data the app and the services it relies on collect, and why.
The short version
- You can play without an account, and that’s the default. Signed out, the places you collect, your streak and your Passport stay only on your device — we can’t see them.
- If you sign in, your game progress is backed up to our server so it can follow you to another device. Only you can read it.
- We don’t sell your data, and we never see your payment details.
- Two other services are involved: Google AdMob (the optional rewarded ad) and RevenueCat (purchases). What they collect is listed below.
If you don’t sign in
Nothing about you is stored on our servers. Your guesses, collected places, streak and daily history live in the app on your device. Deleting the app deletes them. The AdMob and RevenueCat sections below still apply, because ads and purchases work whether or not you have an account.
If you sign in
Signing in is optional and only ever adds backup and cross-device sync. The app plays exactly the same either way.
How you sign in
Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. We never see or handle your Apple or Google password.
What we receive and store about you
An email address and a user ID from the provider you chose. If you use Sign in with Apple and pick “Hide My Email,” we receive Apple’s private relay address instead of your real one — that’s fine, and the app works normally. We don’t ask for your name, and we don’t collect it.
What syncs to your account
The progress the app already keeps on your device:
- Places you’ve collected — the place, when you collected it, and whether you starred it
- Your answers to the one-line recall question on each place (right or wrong, and when)
- Your daily rounds — the day, your scores, and the map point and date you guessed
- Any past days you’ve replayed, and any bonus place you unlocked
- Walks you’ve completed
- The interests you chose during onboarding
That’s it. There’s no analytics SDK in the app, no event tracking, no profiling — the list above is progress the game needs in order to give it back to you on your next phone.
Where it’s stored
On Supabase, our hosting and authentication provider, on servers in the United States (AWS us-east-1). If you’re outside the US, your data is transferred there. Every table is protected by per-user row-level security, so an account can only ever read and write its own rows.
Deleting your account
In the app: Passport → the gear icon (Settings) → Delete account. That permanently deletes your account and everything stored with it, on our servers and on every device you’re signed in on. It cannot be undone and we can’t restore it for you afterwards. Two things it deliberately does not do: it doesn’t cancel an Everywhen Pro subscription (that’s billed by Apple through your Apple ID — cancel it in the App Store, or it keeps renewing), and it can’t clear iOS’s own record that you used Sign in with Apple (to do that, open Settings › your name › Sign-In & Security › Sign in with Apple, choose Everywhen, then Stop Using Apple ID). If you’d rather email us than tap the button, use the address at the bottom of this page.
Advertising — Google AdMob
To show the optional rewarded ad, Google’s advertising SDK may collect:
- Device identifier (IDFA) and advertising data (e.g. which ads you’ve seen)
- Product interaction (app and ad interactions)
- Diagnostics (crash and performance data)
This data may be used to personalize ads and to track you across other apps and websites for advertising purposes. On iOS we ask your permission (App Tracking Transparency) before any tracking — you can decline, and you can change it any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Everywhen Pro removes ads entirely.
We never give Google your Everywhen account, email address or user ID. What AdMob collects is tied to your device, not to your account.
Purchases — RevenueCat
When you buy or restore Everywhen Pro, RevenueCat processes your purchase history to manage your subscription and unlock features. If you’re signed in, that purchase record is linked to your Everywhen account ID, so your subscription follows your account across devices; signed out, it’s tied to an anonymous, app-generated identifier instead. Apple handles the actual payment — we never see your card or payment information.
Apple
Purchases are made through the App Store under Apple’s own terms. Maps are provided by Apple Maps. Sign in with Apple is operated by Apple.
What we do NOT collect
No name, phone number or postal address. No location — the map guessing works by you tapping a map, and the app never reads your device’s location. No contacts, photos, health data, or financial data. No email address at all unless you choose to sign in.
Children
Everywhen is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13. It does display ads. If you’re a parent and believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we’ll address it.
Your choices and rights
- Play signed out. Nothing reaches our servers.
- Ad tracking: decline the tracking prompt, or turn it off in iOS Settings (above).
- Delete your account and its data: in the app, as described above.
- Delete on-device data: deleting the app removes the local copy.
- Depending on where you live (e.g. the EEA/UK under GDPR, or California under CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us and we’ll help. We don’t sell personal information.
